Christo and Jeanne Claude.
Look at this videos, some of them are the artists works, but we also have an interview with them...so you can know exactly what they were thinking.
This will have only your opinion, do not answer to the others...how ever you will, as a group, wrap some part of the school in the next class. AGAIN: WORK AS A GROUP.

Its totally amazing to have such a great amount of spaces or buildings covered. And they say its just art, differing the meaning for every person, depending on what each person feels or thinks when seeing the work. In my opinion its just great that they are able to do what they most like, that they have the money to, and get the permission. I believe its funny they expect nothing to be felt when seeing their work, that's, they say, because it will be different for every person, they just do it because of the satisfaction of doing art, and thats great. They express themselves really funny too.
ResponderEliminarTheir work really does look amazing, I liked most of them except the gates, because I just dont find it very nice, and as they say it really doesnt represent nothing, its just their art, then I find it not very attractive. In the other hand, I liked the one of the lake(from the video where they are interviewed), It would have been great to go. I believe their work in general is amazing,very expensive, but amazing and I liked the fact that they love doing this art, and that they will continue doing it until they die(hopefully).
I didn't like the buldings covered, they are not interesting to me, but I do think they are an original idea. I liked the gates in Central Park I liked how they look from above and the orange color. I agree with the artists when they say that they will keep doing art until they die and that there is a legacy because when they die their works of art won't die they will be there forever and the artist will be remebered for their works. Also that thereisn't a specific thought in their minds when they do this, and there isn't a way that people is supposed to feel, art is made for people to appreciate it in different ways and as their kind of thinking make them understand it, so it can have as many different meanings as people in this world because everyone will see it in a different perspective. I really liked this part because that means it isn't supposed to be liked by everyone just like me that I didn't liked the wrapped buildings. I feel like the works of art presented in this blog aren't the important part of it but the interview with tye artists that help us understand a little more what art is and what is it for.
ResponderEliminarI like all what they do. Even the gates because they give life to the street, It looks very colorful. It's great to have the money to do what you want to do only because you like and want. I like the way they enjoy their art and it's funny how they do not expect a resction for other people but I agree with them when they say that they make art only for them and no for other people. I fther people like it or no it's ok, it's our own opinion. I also like how the buildings look when they are covered. It's amazang.

ResponderEliminarI really liked the third video, is a little bit bored but shows us how they make their art, and is awesome because with this we know how they did it, and is not only the picture, because, who hasn’t said, “I can do this in five minutes, this is really easy” but when we try it we can see that it wasn’t that really easy, and that it was really difficult.
I didn’t like the gates, because I don’t really get the meaning. When I saw I thought it was so colorful, and this gates gives color to the entire park, but what was the real point of this?
I really like the interview of the artists because gives me a whole perspective of art, whit this I saw how an artist saw his own art. I really liked the answer they gave to the next question: “When are you going to retire?” They said, “Never, the artist never retires, when an artist retires is because he died, the artist always is going to make art until he is dead”.
I just wanted to say that the week is not over, So My opinion about this is that the art they make is really GIGANTIC, they ended up with the limits of art and they created these enomous pieces of art. I like this but just when it is finish and ready with all the machines gone; but I think it is like really exagerated the way they do it, because they need lots and lots of things to do this and it must be really expensive to have all those machines working and all those men trying to have everything in place and in order!! But It looks good so its worth it!

I liked when the covered the bildig or the rest with th big fabric, because it makes you realice of the beuty of the place they caver, for example when something is beautifull people get bord and lose interest of it, but when you cver it for a long time people start being curiose and that ilusion is speial how you think it will be beautifull.

Wow this is unbelievebable! I think this type of art is great. Very inspiring. And this kind of art demonstrates a lot of dedication to what you love, this is propably the most giagantic art that have ever existed. The two artists have great ideas, though they look a little crazy, but their job is excellent. I became a great fan of this art, it is really beautiful and i think it makes you admire those places or buildings that have been there forever and we don't pay attentioni to them, because you are used to see them everytime you walk by, (in case of the buildings of our cities were we live), i liked it.
ResponderEliminarI didn´t like this form of art even though i don´t think its art because it has no purpousse at all covering things its very common and doing it at a big scale is like "new" but you really don´t need more to think to start doing this only the money for buying all the stuff you need and a way to do it even though its original but i dont like it

This type of art is the only art that I really likes, well not at all the video about the gates of central park I think It is a stupid way to trow to the trash money, I think is not a good way to represent art, I dont like in anyway.
ResponderEliminarBut the third video It is really amazing i like it very much the way that the artist coverd alll the building, that is a really piece of art ,that is a relly good way to represent art, well but in some way It is another way to trow away money, but in conclusion is really amazing the way that the art can be represented, I think that that artist is really crazy or he take drugs, beacuse he have very craziest ideas to represent or to do his art, i really like this artist!
jajaja I couldn´t imagine how they really covered really big stuff... i mean, as everyone had been talking about this old couple which cover public places, and who, don´t have a real point on doing it, and well i was thinking about how our ¨piece of art¨ about covering something at school would look compared to christo´s and jeanne´s art, anyways what i think about this is that it´s pretty cool and interesting how they came with the idea of covering buildings and not tiny buildings but huge!!! hugeee!!! buildings! i really liked that they didn´t quit to the idea, and they really elaborated it!

ResponderEliminarThis is great. The fact that they see art in such an open minded way. Anyone can interpret their work as art or not, but to appreciate it and be surprised is not an option since it is there, big and impossible to avoid. It is intresting the way that as i conceived it, they crate art by covering artistic objects, it´s not a matter of what is underneath but why it is covered, so instantly, people have a more deep way of perception eventough they dont realize
i think that this is great because is a new style and i know that some people will say that you can´t see the arquitecture but for me is also great because ust by the way you see the cover you can imagine what monument is cover. also someting increible is how this man can cover this huge things. for me is a new type of art because is original cause no one have this idea before. is not eassy because it take alot of day to cover and also to put someting to mark all the curves and thigs like that.
ResponderEliminarWooooow!! this is so cool, i like it a lot. Fist of all it looks awesome. And to do this kind of things they need a lot of patience, creativity and most of all there desire to make this enormous and great piece of art. I think ther job is really original, because they do art but an enormous art and they get uot of the circle that art is supossed to be small and really cute; when art can be also shown as a really enormous thing like this. I think it was a great idea because they had lots of imagination (i guess) to come up with such atemendous idea i like it a lot but I wouldnt have the patience they have and i also think that the spend a lot of money doning that because they have to hire workers and those big machines in the big builidings
ResponderEliminarIt is great because sometimes we only like & put attention to the newer things. For example we go to another country or city & we like a building but if we still there for a while we stop admiring it. & our attention to it returns when we noticed a change like another color, remodeling , & obviously when they wrap it. So I think with the past of time we lost the admiration or the surprised of everything so they have really incredible ideas through Art to bring back the beauty of buildings & also the admiration for the things.
ResponderEliminarI think this is very very nice and if it is concidered atr its ovious why I think so and it is amazing the size of that pease of tela is realy awsome and in the diferent enviroments it loks very fantastic the change of nature to all the nature covered with tela the olny thing I want to say is thata thise is very very good and its realy a peace of art but if we need to do something like I think it is not going to look the same like in the videos or in the fotos.
ResponderEliminarI think the way they express themselves and think it's amazing, the fact that they do what they love to do with out expecting others to like it or understand it it's something i never expected to hear. I kind of like this art because it's very original and I've never seen it before but the find it pointless, I liked the first photo though.

¬¬I pesonally belieave it looks very nice but I also think this is not art because the so called "artists" that do this do not care and they give no meaning to it, they just do it without any purpose and they dont want it to be understood so it really doesnt have a meaning so all in all I like how it looks but I dont consider it art

Why? Why would you do that? Why cover something that big with large materials? I just dont get it, its a waste of time and money just to do something like that i really think its stupid. What about all the material you used after you take your pictures? What will you win with those pictures? Will you even recover the money you spent? I think is lame to cover something that huge, I think that tho ones that do that dont even want to be recognized as artists, they just want to become popular and make people think, oo it looks pretty lets cover that buildig so it looks the same.

I think it's amazing, the covered buildings and the gates... they give us another perspective of the sapce, when you covered something tha you were habituated to see it makes you noticed that it's an important part of the landscape.

I liked this very much, i like how the covered mountains and the dams, and well, i may not understand or support their justification, but i just like looking at it, because if a know that it''s just another thing making judgement on the society or something else i will lose interest, because i admit it, i repulse the idea of making a piece of art (or just crap) something holy because you want to change the world with subliminal messaging of your art.
ResponderEliminarit's like the woman that hides herself in places naked just for making a "change", it gets in my nerves that people try to make art a revolution, just take it as it is, a way of expressing yourself, not a way of defeating some bollocks.
i like this kind of art is very interesting because is something very inovating.i really don t find a significate or a mesage in this art, but it s really funny and interesting to watch. im really want to know how they organize the people to cover the buildings or how they create the material to cover the building. i think this kind of art where is in big size is very interesting and wonderful to watch i expect new ideas of this kind
ResponderEliminarI think that the Orange gates are beautiful because is a way to express the feelings of the artist...he is a good artist i like all his pieces of Art but in other way i think that the other video about that building that he coveer is a stupod way to wastw money because that is not a piece of art for mE because the rally piece of art is the building that he cover so i think this O's not cool!!

I would like to know how they covered the building . This kind of art is very interesting i like it.
